Scaffold Bracket connection

Wedge Waler Bracket
The Wedge Waler Bracket aligns walls quickly and easily without the use of round pins and wood wedges. The built-in wedge allows snug-fit alignment of standard grade 2x4 lumber. The single piece construction means no loose hardware and the "keyed" nose allows attachment to any available siderail hole.

Transition Fillers
Transition fillers are available to connect Symons Silver panels to Steel-Ply® or Resi-Ply™ forming system panels. These components allow the contractor maximum flexibility to adapt to project needs.

Scaffold Bracket
The Scaffold Bracket assembly provides a safe working platform for concrete placing operations. The attached pin and wedge speeds up setting and stripping operations. Scaffold planking, toe boards and guardrails complete the assembly and provide safe worker access when used in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements. Scaffold Brackets are work platforms only and may not be used to support cantilevered soffit forms or materials.

Hinged corners and Bay Corner Bracket

Corners
Inside and outside corners are available in heights of 1' through 9' in 1' increments. Corners are extruded for nominal or full dimension walls.

90° Corner Clip
Designed to form 90° ouside corners, can be used in place of standard one-piece Outside Corner.

Inside Bay Corners
Inside Bay Corners opposite the 45° Bay Corner Bracket or the Outside Bay Corner form a 135° wall angle. Panel ties connect at adjoining panel joints, just like 90° corners.

Inside Hinged Corners
The Inside Hinged Corner may be used to form inside corners down to 45°. In most wall applications, Inside Hinged Corners are used opposite Outside Hinged Corners. The flexibility of hinge designs require that hinged corners be properly blocked, waled and braced.

Outside Hinged Corner
The outside hinged corner will form angle corners from 135° to 5° (connecting hardware must be pointed toward adjoining panels so angle swing is not restricted).

45° Bay Corner Bracket
The 45° Bay Corner Bracket used with proper filler sizes is ideal for foundation walls having 135° bay corners. There is no need to purchase Outside Bay Corners when application i

s limited to a few foundations.

Typical tie and hardware connection

Round Pins and Wedges
The 5/8" diameter x 2½" Round Pin and Wedge are required to connect panels and fillers together. For typical walls, Round Pins are only required at the tie positions. Additional Round Pins are utilized at other positions for attachment of accessory components.

"W" Flat Ties
Standard "W" Flat Ties are manufactured of high quality steel with a maximum capacity of 7,200 pounds. Ties are made for either nominal or full wall dimensions. Each tie is color coded and stamped with the wall size for easy field identification.

Combination Ties
Combination Ties are manufactured with additional holes to accomodate different wall thicknesses. An 8-10 Combination Tie can be used for either an 8" wall or a 10" wall. Other Combination Ties are also available. Combination Ties are at an ultimate capacity of 6,300 pounds.

Symons offers two standard panel and filler designs with the manufacturing capability of other hole patterns to match existing equipment. Every panel is manufactured to strict specifications that include:

  • Siderail to protect the recessed 1/8" aluminum face sheet.
  • Gusset-reinforced corners that are durable, rigid and square.
  • Hardened steel plate bushings to reduce wear at hardware connections.
6-12 System
The standard 6-12 system is designed with siderail holes 6 inches from the end and then 12 inches on center. Panel and fillers 26 inches or more in width are designed with a channel section crossmember to maximize the strength-to-weight ratio. Fillers from 4 inches to 24 inches are designed with a trapezoidal crossmember to reduce weight while maintaining strength. The 1/8" aluminum face sheet minimizes deflection.

8-8 System
The standard 8-8 system is designed with siderail holes 8 inches on center. This hole pattern will match the existing 8-24 equipment in use by contractors. Crossmembers are trapezoidal in shape to allow for hardware clearance on this tighter hole pattern. The 1/8" aluminum face sheet minimizes deflection.

Attached Hardware
The attached hardware design minimizes the need for loose pins and speeds up form setting and stripping operations. Attached hardware can be ordered on either side of the siderail and at various hole locations. By sliding the attached pin, ties are held in position while setting the adjacent panel or filler. Attached hardware can be provided on the 6-12 or 8-8 systems and is compatible with all Symons Silver forming components and accessories.

Brick Texture
The texture of brick can be produced in concrete surfaces at a fraction of the cost of conventional masonry construction. Symons Silver panels and fillers can be ordered with brick pattern face sheets to produce an attractive option for basement walls, retaining walls or other exposed concrete surfaces.

Gangform Adapter

The Gangform Adapter is an extruded aluminum tube that is attached between form panels. It is offered in a 3" depth for Symons Silver. The Adapter comes in various lengths with preset tie hole locations.

For residential applications, the same basic components and methods are used when working with the Symons Silver Forming System, so labor performance becomes consistent and predictable.
  • Lightweight design results in increased worker productivity
  • Unique pat ented hardware and accessories are simple to use
  • Long service life reduces total applied forming costs
OTHER GANG FORMING

The Symons Silver Form System is a pre-engineered, reusable, factory-built design. The system saves you time because it is easy to set up and easy to strip. No measuring, sawing, drilling or nailing is required. Minimal training is needed in order to use the system, so workers are quickly up to maximum efficiency.

The time in setting and stripping is greatly reduced because of the standard 3'-0" panel width. This larger panel size provides more square footage of contact area in a single unit to increase labor productivity.
